“To you, who were spiritually dead all the time that you drifted along on the stream of this world’s ideas of living … ” Ephs. 2:1
Harry Nilsson once wrote a song called “Everybody’s Talkin” that found it’s way into an Academy Award Best Picture winning move named Midnight Cowboy. It’s first line is “Everybody’s talkin’ at me.” Ain’t that the truth, Harry. Everybody is talking at us. And everything you watch in our media driven age is absolutely trying to tell you something.
Cinema Aeon exists to discuss how wisdom is represented in film both consciously and unconsciously. In particular, it exists to discuss the wisdom of this age as portrayed through film, the portrayal of Christ or Christianity in film, and contrast those against real world faith.
Ok, ok – it also exists to have a bit of fun and write about movies, television, and web media too!
Sit back, read, comment, argue (respectfully), and enjoy as we try to paddle our way off the stream of the world’s ideas about living.
“You let the world, which doesn’t know the first thing about living, tell you how to live. You filled your lungs with polluted unbelief … ” Ephs. 2:1
